Egan Inoue
Brother to Enson Inoue, Egan is actually a two-time world champion Racquetball player as well as an MMA fighter!
In racquetball, Egan defeated Roger Harripersad of Canada at the 1986 World Racquetball Championship in Orlando, Florida. Four years later in 1990 he again won the championship over Tim Doyle.
In 1989, Egan Inoue had a 50 percent ownership in a racquetball equipment company called E-force. In 1992, he injured his knee and was sidelined for a year. He made a comeback but did not get higher than 6th in the world racquetball rankings. In 1993, he sold his share of E-Force and returned to Brazilian Jiujutsu competition.
In 1996, Egan won the World Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championship in the blue belt division and was the first American to win the title. He runs his own grappling school in Hawaii, where he is very popular.
In Mixed Martial Arts competition, Egan holds wins over notable opponents such as Akihiro Gono, John Allesio, and Joe Doerksen.
As of November 2007, Egan Inoue's professional MMA record stands at 12-8, with his last fight being a defeat at the hands of Jason "Mayhem" Miller in December of 2003.
